Monday started off with a sweat fest. Slim & Strong produced some intense heat and we all left pretty soaked. After heading home I got a chance to catch up with Myrna, Boot Camp Instructor extraordinaire, who visited me. We grabbed a healthy lunch and she got lots of love from my dog Remi.
As I was scheduling the follow-up weigh-ins for the Detoxers, which are happening Tuesday and Wednesday, I received an email from a participant that was quite amazing. Check out her 'after' picture. NO need for a 'before', right?

"Hi Ariane,
I just had to share this. I know you keep saying that it's not about what the scale says (which is 11 lbs down now by the way) so I decided to put on a pair of pants I tried to wear to work 2.5 weeks ago but couldn't because they were too tight. This is how they look now. I'm absolutely thrilled!
See you in boot camp tonight. C."
How amazing is this? She really worked on eating a clean diet free of sugar and starches and less than 3 weeks later the results are stunning. If you're interested in participating in the next Detox challenge, please sign up at www.brooklynbridgebootcamp.com, click on the class schedule and hit the Slim & Strong button. We are starting the next round on February 4th.
In the evening I taught a boot camp class at Broadway Dance Center on 45th Street and the class was fantastic. A bunch of dedicated boot campers who were all there to give their best. The wet shirts, the red faces and smiles at the end of the class were proof they got a good workout. After the class I got to catch up with a friend who I hadn't seen in ages. Last year I made very little time for friends and fun and this year my plan is to change that. Connecting with people who mean something to me, who have great personalities and are positive is so important and I will make the time to see my friends. We met at Hummus Kitchen and enjoyed small appetizers, such as roasted cauliflower, spicy carrots and hummus and ordered the Shakshuka. What better way to end a very sociable day.
I received the pictures from the Brooklyn Bridge Boot Camp DVD Launch Party from last Wednesday. Take a look at FACEBOOK to check them out. What a fun bunch of people my boot campers are!

Water: 3 liters at least
Supplements: the usual
