Ariane, I just invented something you might enjoy, if you like Indian food - or rather used to, until we discovered how starch-heavy it really is in restaurants.
It’s a high-protein lassi (the yogurt drink like kefir, usually people drink the mango flavored lassi)
Use Trader Joe’s fat-free cottage cheese (this will probably not work for you detox monkeys :) if you’re laying off dairy). Each container is about 16oz in volume, 4 servings, each contains 13g of protein. So half a box suffices for one meal's worth of protein - 26 g protein and only 8 g carbs, no fat. I go through 6 a week, sigh.
Add about 2-4 cups of water, depending on how watery you want it, and blend it in a blender until smooth and all the curds have disintegrated.
Add cumin powder and salt if you like it a bit salty. Add mint leaves or cilantro while blending for an amazing punch. You can also blend in a few frozen berries if this is your morning protein and you like it sweet.
I have taken to drinking this before going to bed, because I usually eat dinner at 8, and don't sleep until midnight at least, so this keeps me feeling less homicidal than usual, until breakfast.
