When I posted the Chocolate Protein Shake recipe that included adding half an avocado, I heard all types of comments: Gross, ewwww, disgusting... but when they taste it they're always amazed at how an avocado can make your protein shake creamy, tasty and pretty much taste like ice cream. When Rachael, a boot camper, shared this recipe with me I was certain it was going to be a winner. Here's a very simple and pretty much sugar free sweet treat: Avocado Chocolate Mousse, which was originally posted on Cooking Blogs.
Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados, the meat scooped out of the shell
3 tablespoons honey (more or less to taste.)
1/4 cup unsweetened cacao powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Use a blender or food processor to blend the avocados until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend again until everything is combined. Add more or less honey according to your taste. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
I would try this with chocolate protein powder to reduce the sugar and increase the protein.

This looks amazing... I am definitely going to try this!
