February Slim & Strong: Who is the biggest loser?

The Slim & Strong February Session ended today and we have great results to show. More than 30 participants worked their butts of to create muscle tone, burn body fat and get stronger and leaner. The winners were based on most fat lost and most muscle gained (you know the drill. it matters where the weight is coming from, not how much you've lost).

The biggest loser this month is Izzy, who signed up for Slim & Strong to get back into the groove of feeling good and fit. Izzy was especially fond of the push ups, which he always finished up first (I wonder if he cheated or was just fast...) and the donkey kicks, of course, which are everybody's most favorite part of the workout :-)

Here's what the accomplished:
Weight loss: 6.8 lbs
Body fat lost: 2.8%
4% of his original weight lost
.6 lbs of muscle lost (initial muscle loss is normal due to calorie restriction. It typically balances out in the second month)
6.2 lbs of pure fat lost!

The 2nd prize goes to Kirsten. Kirsten came back after several months and put her best foot forward:
Weight loss: 6.2 lbs
Body fat loss: 2.2%
3.4% of her original weight lost
.6 lbs of muscle lost (that's insignificant muscle loss)
5.6 lbs of pure fat lost!

The 3rd prize goes to Angela. 
Weight loss: 4 lbs
Body fat loss .1%
3.2% of her original weight lost
3 lbs of muscle lost (she either cut calories too low or didn't eat enough protein or overdid the cardio)
1 lb of pure fat lost.

If you'd like to get a kickstart towards losing fat, building muscle and getting lean, check out the March session of Slim & Strong, which starts this coming Monday.
