A Weekend to Remember

I spent my weekend Upstate and enjoyed yet another gorgeous Fall weekend. After a funky week it was just what I needed. Fun, relaxation, good food and friends. The leaves were still stunning and I got to enjoy the stunning views of the Hudson Valley during a hike with friends.

The reward at the top is always the view and at the bottom it's always a good cup of coffee from the local bakery. I also built a fire pit in my yard, which I had wanted to do for ages. It took no time at all and I proudly lit a big fire to warm the dog :-)

On Sunday Remi and I took a little stroll in the woods before I taught a boot camp class in the park. The sunshine was coming through the orange leaves, casting long shadows of the trees on the road. Just  gorgeous.
I was psyched to have a friend visit who I hadn't seen in ages We caught up over brunch and then enjoyed a stroll through town.

I hope you too took some time for yourself to do the things that make you happy. If there was one thing that I realized again this weekend in spending time with friends it's that you have to stay true to yourself and do what is the right thing for YOU. It's easy to get side tracked and get lost in the daily grind. Here's to great friends and open ears, to spending time with the people that matter and enrich your life and give you perspective. :-)
