Chia Pod: A cool new snack on the market!

The other day I received an adorable package in the mail - a metal lunch box filled with various flavors of Chia Pod.


Chia Pod is a great new dessert or snack, made from only three ingredients: fruit, coconut milk and Australian Chia Seeds. They're served in cute little plastic cups with a built-in spoon, portable and easy to eat on the run. I have been enjoying these as a snack over the past few days and sampled blueberry, vanilla bean, mango and banana.


I had them about 1-2 hours before a workout to give me energy to push through during my evening classes. I have been making my own chia puddings in the past, using my NutriBullet, but these little snacks are an easy way to go when on the run or in a crunch.

The Chia Co website has loads of recipes that include chia seeds, such as the Chia Chicken Burgers or the Aussie Lamb Chia Burgers (I'll have to try them soon), so get inspired to add fiber, omega-3 fatty acids and satiation to your diet.

I hope you give them a go when a sweet craving strikes as these will actually fill you up, satisfy a craving, and contain only a little sugar.
