Slim & Strong September Winners!

We had two more Slim & Strong groups finish last week. My participants in September were quite dedicated to making their twice or three times weekly workout and eating clean. Those that cleaned up their diet and ate mostly lean protein and vegetables saw the greatest results. Those that didn't forgo sugar, starches and alcohol saw fewer results. I say this time after time: 80-90% of your fat loss is the result of a clean diet. You cannot undo poor eating by working out. Yes, added calories help you build muscle, which makes you leaner, but you cannot burn body fat by eating loads of sugar, starch and drinking alcohol. No amount of exercise can create the progress you want, so always make sure you put effective exercise and a clean diet together to get to your goal body. It's worth it!

Here are the top 3 winners of the Slim & Strong AM session that met Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3 weeks:

MEGAN won $200 to spend at City Sports:
Weight gain: 1.4 lbs
Body fat loss: 2.1%
Muscle gained: 2.3 lbs - 2.1%
3. 7 lbs of pure fat lost!


BLAKE won 2nd place:
Weight loss: .2 lab
Body fat loss: 1.4%
2.3 lbs of muscle gained (that means a higher metabolism and a leaner body)
2.5 lbs of pure fat lost!


ELIZABETH won 3rd place:
Weight loss: 5.6 lbs
Body fat loss: .9%
2.1 lbs of muscle lost (which is normal with the initial stages of weight loss)
2.5 lbs of pure fat lost!

The evening session of Slim & Strong had great success as well:

JESSICA won $200 to spend at City Sports:
Weight loss: 7.6 lbs
Body fat loss: 2.5%
Muscle lost: 1.7 lbs (muscle loss happens with that much weight loss in such short time)
5.9 lbs of pure fat lost!


MICHELE S won 2nd place:
Weight loss: 2.6 lbs
Body fat loss: 2.1%
6. lbs of muscle gained
.05 lbs of fat lost



MICHELE L won 3rd place:
Weight loss: 2.5 lbs
Body fat loss: 1.1%
.1 lbs of muscle gained
2.6 of pure fat lost
